The Walton Band Color Guard has two seasons of performance as follows:

 

FALL COLOR GUARD

In the fall, Color Guard functions as an integral part of the Marching Band.  It combines dance, flag, sabre and rifle movement to visually accent and enhance the marching program. The Guard has rehearsals throughout the summer to practice the skills and dances that will be needed during the show. The Guard follows the same schedule as the full Band Program for Band Camp at LaGrange and Band Camp at Walton. The schedule can be found on this website.

 

WINTER GUARD (SPORT OF THE ARTS)

Winter Guard is a competitive performing group; featuring dance, with flag, rifle and sabre work on a gym floor, set to music. Winter Guard participates in competitions throughout the Southeast and therefore travels frequently. Members participate in fundraisers to help defray the expense of uniforms and travel. The season begins with try-outs in November and runs through mid-April.  The Walton Winter Guard has a long history of placing high and winning many awards in the various competitions.
